RIME GRAFFITI SHOT WITH A 50MM NIKON PRIME LENS

Many people have commented on this image I took a few years ago. I’ve been asked several times on how it was taken. So for you photographers and inquisitive folk here you go…

For shooting graffiti, I usually use the Nikon 18-200mm lens. On a DX (crop sensor camera) it’s the only lens you’ll ever need if your ever stuck on a dessert island. However once in a blue I’ll slap on a 50mm lens on my full frame D700 and shoot wide open at 1.4 to get the some nice bokeh. To warm things up a bit I used the cloudy white balance setting. Here’s a tip – this works great when shooting people on a sunny day!

I’ll be posting more non graffiti images in the future. In terms of how I shoot things (albeit photography and video) do you want me to get techy and explain how I do it? Leave a comment below and let me know what you think!
